I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season this year, no
matter what you celebrate! We got back on the road on the 28th, and
spent our new years in Casper, WY. Didn’t do anything special really, but I did
try deep-fried Oreos a couple hours before the new year…pretty great last meal
of 2014, if I do say so maself :)
Before we stopped for the night on the 31st, I
was lucky enough to find a quilt store in Montana, just a couple blocks from
our delivery. That was pretty cool, it usually doesn’t work out that well. That
shop was Thimbelina’s, in Livingston, MT:
So I got my MT fabric, which I thought was pretty fitting;
we dealt with -27 degree weather in Montana, so I figured the snowy trees were
perfect:
I also got this adorable dog fabric that I couldn’t say no
to. What can I say, I love dogs!
On another note, I gave away all of my big quilts for
Christmas, finally, which was awesome. One was for my parents-in-law, one was
for my grandparents-in-law, and one was for my dad. There was also a double
wedding ring quilt that I made with my mom, which was presented to my engaged
cousin at her rehearsal dinner thing on the 26th, a day before she
got married! That was a wonderful little wedding, and I absolutely loved her
dress too.
So now I’m at that point where I sort of don’t know what to
do with my life…I’m still finishing a cross stitch that was started 15 years ago
by my mom that never got finished, but that’s all I’m doing right now. I’m
still planning on the princess paper pieced quilt, but I haven’t started any of
that yet. More news on that to come, hopefully I’ll get better at this whole
blogging thing =P
Have a wonderful 2015 all, talk to you soon!
Also, I decided to do this new thing so I can keep better
track of where I’ve been:
States I’ve purchased fabric from:
Delaware
Hawaii
Missouri
Montana
New York
Oregon
Washington
Fun travels! Happy to see where you've been~keep safe (((hugs)))~Mom
