We had a wonderful 8 days in Hawaii! I know this year hasn’t been all that cold yet, but it was still nice to take a break in the never ending sun and enjoy some sand =)
While there, we were lucky enough to visit 5 quilt shops, including a shop that actually sells traditional, hand-sewn Hawaiian quilts. I was good and didn’t buy too much fabric, but what I did buy was very fitting.

Back on the West Coast!

11/12/14 2:21 PM

So we made it back to the West Coast before I got to another shop, and that shop was in Washington (where I visit all the time, but I've never been to this one!). We had to go through that "arctic storm" in North Dakota and Montana, which was awesome 'cause I love snow. Of course, it was REALLY dangerous and often scary, but I like to look at the positive things in life :)

Kerfuffles and FUBARs, in New York

It's been a few days, but I’m still alive! We’re currently stuck in New York waiting to get our truck fixed (again), so I finally have some time to type this out. It's not all bad though,we got to see snow (snow in NY, the top of my Bucket List), and eat some genuine NY pizza!

I’ve only been to one other quilt shop since Missouri Star, but that second quilt shop was in New York! New York has been the top state on my list of states to see, so it’s pretty fantastic that that was my second one. Granted, it’s not NYC, but it was still an amazing shop with some amazing quilters running things.
